The Veins Website
Welcome to the Veins Website  - a site dedicated to the understanding of varicose veins,  underlying causes of varicose veins and the best treatments available for varicose veins

In particular, this site explains VNUS Closure® and now VNUS Closure FAST - or Radiofrequency ablation of varicose veins. VNUS Closure was introduced to the UK in 1999 by Mr Mark Whiteley - the Founder of The Whiteley Clinic. Mr Whiteley and the members of The Whiteley Clinic pioneered the techniques of using VNUS Closure optimally.

More recently, Mr Whiteley performed the first VNUS Closure FAST in the UK on 5th March 2007.

The Whiteley Clinic specialises in Local Anaesthetic Vein Surgery including VNUS Closure FAST, Laser Surgery EVL or EVLT®, Foam Sclerotherapy, RFS Closure of Perforators, Ambulatory Phlebectomy and Microsclerotherapy on suitable patients.

More information about the advantages of Local Anaesthetic Veins Surgery can be found on www.Local-Anaesthetic-Vein-Treatment.co.uk.

Based upon our research, we have set up our clinic - The Whiteley Clinic - (www.TheWhiteleyClinic.co.uk) based in Guildford  - and opened a  second in Harley Street, London as a Franchise.

This site is being developed to incorporate many active graphics and audio clips, to help you to understand veins and what goes wrong with them. These effects can take a little time to load, but are worth waiting for as they make understanding the concepts of vein disease much easier.

This information can be educational in its own right. In addition, if you suffer from a disorder of your veins, it will help you to understand what your doctor means when he/she explains your condition and treatment with you. After the introduction and basics, the site will show you the latest things available in the world of varicose vein surgery and those areas that The Whiteley Clinic specialises in.

The opinions in this site are those of Mr Mark Whiteley and are based upon research and his own experience in this field. If there are any strong objections to anything herein, please contact Mr Whiteley through the contact page and any points will be fully considered.
